General Chat Box Installation Guide

Install on a website

When completing the installation, you will need the chat code supplied by the onboarding team.

Your code will look something like this:
<script type="application/javascript" src="https://script.chatsystem.io/h2g4hsbf6rhs8fjdh37wh"></script>

The script is the same for everyone, except that it has a unique string of letter / number combination - the sample above is: h2g4hsbf6rhs8fjdh37wh

To install across every page, you are able to insert this code either of these ways:
1. In the Header or Footer to apply to all pages
2. To each page individually - add the code anywhere before the </body> tag

It’s important to install it on all pages, so that if a visitor is chatting with an agent, but is also clicking through your website, the chat will follow with them.
Install via Google Tag Manager (GTM)

Alternatively, you can install the code Via Google Tag Manager.

1. Login to your Google Tag Manager Account
2. Create a ‘New Tag’
Title: LeadChat
Tag Type: Custom HTML
HTML: Add your custom chat installation code
Triggering: Select ‘All Pages’
Save and check the site. Chat should now be active.
